Well it is, isn't it? We live in an increasingly disposable world but here in Bridport there is a team who rage a personal battle against our throwaway culture. Our Community Workshop volunteers rescue unwanted household electrical items, bikes and other wheeled transporters with some precision instruments and a lot of TLC, turning someone else’s junk into a useful item to others. These are available to those on low incomes with donations to our running costs welcome.
PAT Electrical Testing Bridport TLC now has several qualified PAT Testers (thank you Steve!) and are able to offer our services to local people who want peace of mind regarding portable household electrical items (toasters, kettles, lamps etc). We will be happy to test them in return for a small donation towards our running costs. Community Workshop We are grateful to WDDC Car Boot Fund for helping with two thirds of funding required to keep the Community Workshop running in 2009. This enables members of The Fisherman’s Arms, young people and other users of Social Services to gain confidence, learn skills and make positive contributions to themselves and others. The Workshop is co-ordinated by Andy Howkins and Andy Hardy (yes, it can be confusing) who can be contacted through the office phone or email.
